Hello! I’m Rosie, I’ve been a freelance illustrator since 2016 when I gave up my much more stable and sensible career in primary teaching. Fully leaning into creativity in mid-life has been liberating. I thoroughly recommend it!I have a strong theme of social justice running through my work, but I also like to make strong messages appealing and, where I can, humorous. All my work is made by me in my little Exmouth studio or manufactured by other small UK based businesses. I try to source all my materials sustainably and am always looking for ways to reduce the environmental impact of making stuff. I’m not after growth for its own sake. I want to make things that bring joy or stimulate conversation… or both.
